Jack Jiang

11-year-old Jack is the 2022 school captain for Guildford Public and a valued member of his school community in a variety of aspects. Apart from a good academic record in all his subjects, he is a key member of the school’s academic debating team that has been so far successful within school divisions.

Luke is a scout at 1st/2nd Merrylands where he is assistant patrol leader. Fatemeh started to learn art and painting when she was 8 years old and hasn’t looked back since. Her creativity shines through various mediums and she enjoys finger painting. Fatemeh creates beautiful contrasts with a skill far beyond her years.

Jonathan is a very talented young individual and has won many awards for his artworks. He has held 1st place for art 2 years in a row and is highly skilled in realistic art and printmaking. Jonathan also uses acrylic and oil paints very effectively.

Kirthika Vepari
Fine Arts (Special Needs)
Kirthika was born with profound hearing loss in both ears; she underwent cochlear implantation for one year with limited hearing. From early childhood she has had an interest in art and expresses herself fluently through drawing and painting. Her entry to the recent ROAR Exhibition at the Strathfield Library and Innovation Hub drew a lot of praise.

Phoebe is a valued member of her school community in a variety of aspects. Being the 2022 school captain, she has proven her leadership skills in leading Guildford Public School. She enjoys being a library monitor whose role is to promote literacy and the enjoyment of reading to the school community.

Sienna Kong has been learning ballet since she was 4 years old and is now completing RAD grade 5 ballet! She performs Chinese traditional Dance and Jazz at many multicultural local community festivals and events and placed 4th in lyrical at the Sydney Eisteddfod. Sienna is also completing her Grade 5 cello.

Subisttikaa has been a part of the Niruthyothaya School of Dance from 2011. Apart from attending regular lessons, she has also participated in several community dance performances and fund raisers around Australia. She has many recognitions including a certification for obtaining Distinction in Bharathanatyam Grade 4 from the Australian Carnatic Music Society.

Ajanthini Carthigeyan founded the Niruthyothaya School of Dance with a goal to teach, identify and improve the dancing skills of those who have the aspiration to learn Bharathanatyam. Amelia is always happiest when she is playing sport and is a perfect sports role model for her local community. Her latest achievement is learning to Hammer Throw in January 2022, competing at State, coming 2nd in her first competition, and then competing at Nationals and coming 3rd. Amelia is a well-rounded sports person and is known for demonstrating fair play at all times.

Taha is a year 12 student at Greystanes High School whose passion for technology and helping others combined to create the Student Tech Support Team at school. Taha is the student leader of the team and works in collaboration with the school’s Technology teacher and Technical Support Officer to assist with tech installations and provide peer support for fellow students. He has also taken on the role of acting as a guide and mentor to train and organise the younger students on the team.
